The BEST Homemade Alfredo Sauce

You will never use jarred alfredo sauce after you make this alfredo from scratch. There is a good change you have these ingredients on hand and the sauce is amazing!

  • measuring spoons

  • frying pan
  • spatula

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick salted butter
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup cream cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Melt one stick of butter over medium heat in a frying pan.
  • Once the butter is melted, add in the heavy cream until well combined.
  • Add in cream cheese and stir until fully combined, about 5 minutes.
  • Add in garlic powder and salt and pepper. Continue to cook sauce until thickened. Add milk and cook a few minutes.
  • As soon as the sauce looks done, add in the parmesan cheese and cook until fully melted into sauce.
  • Serve over your noodles of choice and enjoy!

Notes

Notes:
Depending on your preference of thickness, more or less milk can be added.
Parmesan cheese can be omitted, but don't omit another cheese in it's place.
