Healthy Taco Chili
This taco chili is easy to prepare and cooks quickly. It is a great last minute dinner that your family will love!
Equipment
- Slow Cooker
- measuring spoons
- mixing spoon
- frying pan
- spatula
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 diced onion
- 2 cans pinto or kidney beans
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 1 TBSP cumin
- 1 TBSP garlic salt
- 1 TBSP chili powder
- 1 jar mild taco sauce
Instructions
- Brown ground turkey in frying pan with onion. Once meat is brown, drain excess grease.
- Add meat and onion to slow cooker.
- Add beans and corn, drain cans first. Add tomatoes, do not drain cans,
- Add spices and jar of taco sauce. Stir all together.
- Cook on HIGH for 2 hours or LOW for 4 hours.
Top with cheese, sour cream, avocado or jalapenos and enjoy!

Notes:
Any kind of ground meat can be substituted for the ground turkey.
Frozen corn can be substituted for the canned corn.Â
Fresh tomatoes can be substituted to the canned tomatoes.Â
If you want a quicker way to prepare this, you can place ingredients in an Instant Pot on manual for 30 minutes instead of a slow cooker.Â
